Your data is your company. Your data is all of your files, records and information that you have created on your computer(s). A disturbing fact is that with many companies this is often overlooked. This is a recipe for disaster.

There are several options available for backing up and archiving your data (tape backup, Zip Drive, CDR, etc). While researching the best solution for our clients, we realized that while using these systems is good, it is not the best option available. You still remain vulnerable in several aspects. The archived data is vulnerable to tapes that may not get rotated, archived data that may get corrupted, theft from within and/or a severe employee data error. Additionally, a severe fire or flood can damage everything.

Enter Remote Backup Services. Remote Backup Service is the act of archiving your data to a computer physically located in another location. This solution addresses all concerns while trying to secure the integrity of your data.

Our system works by having a software program installed on your computer. Access to this program is username/password protected. An employee with access credentials logs into the program, determines what files to save, and what time intervals the data should be backed up to the remote computer. The remote computer is one of our servers located within the data center.

To attain the highest level of security possible, all data to be transferred is compressed and encrypted before it leaves your computer. This makes the information being backed up unintelligible and valueless to anybody without the proper username/password combination.

Our servers wait for your computer to copy the data over. When the data arrives, it resides on our server until it is needed or replaced by newer, more current data.

In the event of a disaster, your information is safe and available for retrieval at any time. Just as the application installed on your computer schedules your data to be archived, it can be used to retrieve your data.

Our program is completely configurable, allowing clients to select what data is worth archiving, when the data should be archived, and how often it should be archived. Your data is always there and always accessible.
