Once a website is completed, it is placed on a web server. In most simplistic terms, a web server is a computer that is constantly connected to the Internet. It is this constant connection that makes your website viewable when somebody visits it at anytime, from anywhere in the world.
Providing this service is called hosting. Normally, one web server will host many websites. This serves small websites well and helps to keep the hosting costs to a minimum. However, in certain situations (size, security, privacy), one or more servers can be dedicated to one website.
GSWS is in a uniquely beneficial position because we own and operate our own web servers. This gives us absolute control of both the hardware and security of our systems, which provides us complete control over the complete development environment. This means we can do what we want, how we want, whenever we want to.

We have access to more fiber carriers than any colo facility in San Diego including: AT&T, SBC, MCI, ICG, XO, Time Warner, Willtel and Level 3. Our network consists of the largest backbones on the Internet including: XO, Level 3, Qwest, Willtel/Yipes, Verio, Uunet and Cogent.
We also receive the benefit of our colo providers performance based self healing routing equipment which monitors, latency, jitter, packet loss and handshake round trip time, BGP blackouts, brownouts and more, and then routes your traffic though the fastest and most reliable backbone. This equipment has increased network performance in excess of 50% over regular BGP. Meaning, your web site will have the fastest, most reliable bandwidth available.
The facility provides on site support and engineers 7x24x365 to ensure maximum uptime and customer service.
When you have a business to run, you don't want to be thinking about whether or not your web hosting is up and running. With us you won't have to worry about it.
